Ajvar
Serbian Relish.
Equipment
- 1 blender
Ingredients
- 5 red bell peppers.
- 1 eggplant.
- 2 garlic cloves.
- 1 tbsp white vinegar. (Optional)
- 60 ml olive or sunflower oil.
- 1 teaspoon salt. (To taste).
- Black pepper. (To taste).
Instructions
- Bake the bell peppers and the eggplant for about 1hr at 180°. (*)Optionally you can wrap them.
- Let them cold.
- Peel the bell peppers.
- Remove the flesh of the eggplant with a spoon.
- Strain the peppers to avoid water excess
- Finely chop the garlic and add it to the mixture.
- Blend everything a bit.
- Add the oil, salt and pepper.
- Blend everything until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Enjoy!

Notes
- (*) You can wrap the bell peppers with tin foil or cook them in a dish in the oven.
- If you have the option of cooking them on a grill, even better.
- You can also cook them on the grill or as you prefer.
