Bacon With Stout Beer Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 kg bacon.
- 2 white onions.
- 2 red onions.
- 1 leek.
- 1 bunch cardamom seeds.
- 1 clove garlic.
- Olive oil.
- 1 pint stout beer.
- Thickener.
- Black pepper.
- Sweet paprika.
- 1 cup mushrooms.
- Asparagus. (To taste).
Instructions
- Cut the onions and leek julienne.2 white onions., 2 red onions., 1 leek.
- Add cardamom seeds.1 bunch cardamom seeds.
- Add olive oil and stir.Olive oil.
- Add the bacon and cover it with black pepper and sweet paprika.1 kg bacon., Black pepper., Sweet paprika.
- Add the garlic over the bacon.1 clove garlic.
- Cook over medium heat until the onion is cooked.
- Add the beer and mix.1 pint stout beer.
- Once the beer comes to a boil, add the mushrooms and cook over medium/low heat for 15 minutes.1 cup mushrooms.
- Dissolve a thickener in the same hot beer and strain it before adding it to avoid lumps. Mix well!Thickener.
- Cook a few more minutes.
- When the meat is almost ready, add the asparagus and cook for another 5 to 8 minutes.Asparagus.
- Done.
- Serve with white rice or potatoes.

The bacon is already very salty. That's why no salt is added in this recipe.
