Carrot Cake
Easy and tasty.
Ingredients
- 1½ cup golden sugar
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1½ cup grated carrots
Instructions
- Mix the liquids (eggs, oil and vanilla) with the sugar until integrated.1½ cup golden sugar, ¾ cup vegetable oil, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Add the solids (flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and baking powder) and mix until integrated.1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon salt
- Add the finely grated carrots and mix well.1½ cup grated carrots
- Let rest 10 minutes.
- Bake 30 minutes at 180° Celsius.

Additional data: "The baking soda releases carbon dioxide, which causes the dough to expand during baking. Being alkaline, it helps balance the acidity of other ingredients, such as sugar and spices.
