Homemade Butter
Creamier and better butter.
Equipment
- 1 Electric mixer
Ingredients
- 500 cl double cream
- ½ gram salt (0.017 oz) (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the cream until starts to get thicker, add salt and continue mixing.500 cl double cream, ½ gram salt
- After a couple of minutes (it depends of your mixer speed) the cream begins to granulate it becomes more yellowish. Continue mixing until the buttermilk appears.
- Drop the buttermilk and continue mixing until no more buttermilk appears again and when the butter is no more granulated (as you can see on the video) and gets the texture we want. It could take a few minutes.
- Meanwhile you will drop the buttermilk a couple of times.If necesary, clean the butter with cold water to remove excess of buttermilk.
- You can wrap the butter with cling film to keep it tight a shaped.
- That’s it. Enjoy!

Notes
You can add seasonings to the butter to your liking (garlic, rosemary, etc).
If you have blood pressure problems you can make it without salt (Check first how much sodium the cream has).
